The 100% linen fabric of the handmade Pure Adalya Kaftan took shape in the hands of a meticulous artisan; and then came to life as “ADALYA OYA” at the fingertips of a talented Turkish woman.
“Adalya” is also known as “Star Flower” among the public; it is actually a colorful flower. In the Pure Adalya series, only Adalya lace embroidered with black and ecru threads is used and it is produced for those who want a simpler caftan.
The bride gives the cover decorated with this lace to her sister-in-law as a gift at the Mevlüt ceremony after the wedding so that we can be like flowers between us…
Adalya needle lace has survived from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day and the region of this lace is Çamlıyayla (Namrun) district of İçel province.
